25.3 Web dialer app for Salesforce

After completing the configuration described in 25.2 you should have the phone icon in the bottom bar.

Click on the icon to open the callto dialer for SF. First time you may need to log in using your callto.net credentials. If you have already logged in to callto.net before the app should open without logging in.

 

 

The web dialer is fully integrated with the SF pages. it opens in a frame as part of the SF page and uses SF API to exchange information.

The app supports all the callto.net functions including the administration panel and MyProfile.

SF API integration

The integration enhances the dialer by the following functions:

  • incoming calls - the app checks if the caller ID matches any SF object (Contact, case, lead). If so the object's card is opened in the SF app
  • click to call - when you click a number on the SF pages it will open the dialer and start calling
  • Salesforce menu - you can type a contact's name or  a phone number in the Search input box. The app will look for the matching SF objects and display them in the list below.
