Plans

Plans (packages) are bundles of minutes offered at a fixed price, usually valid for one month but it may be set to any other period. At the moment the plans are non-recurring which means that when the period ends the plan will expire and the user will have to manually buy it for the next period.

The plans are configured on the server side. The client is shown only the description of the plan without information on the minutes included. If you want to show the number of minutes put it into the description.

In the main screen the list of all available plans is presented. Those of them which are already purchased are marked as active.

When a user taps on a particular plan a new screen appears with the list of the destinations covered. If the plan is not assigned to the user’s account a “buy” button will appear.  For an active plan this button is hidden and instead the expiration date is shown.

Payments for the plans are deducted from the user’s account. If there is not enough balance a message asking to refill pops up.

Numbers

From this menu users can buy phone numbers (DIDs). The implementation on the server side may include geographical, toll free or premium numbers. The configuration allows for grouping the numbers per countries and areas. To each country can be assigned a price per certain period, for example per month or quarter.

The first screen shows the list of the assigned (purchased) numbers with their due payment dates.

When you tap on the add button a new screen will appear where you can select the country and area and proceed with purchase.

The amount for DID is charged automatically on the expiration date. The payment is debited from user balance, if there is not sufficient funds the DID will be cancelled. To avoid such situation you should configure the email notification on the platform which will keep sending emails when the account balance is lower than the imminent payment.

The DID is active from the moment a user placed the order. When you dial the number from any network (PSTN or other providers) it will ring on the dialer.

Recharge

The available payment methods can be divided on the “in app” mechanisms which are provided by the application stores and on the 3rd party systems.

The advantage of the in app method is that it uses the existing user account associated with the platform. For example on iOS the in App Purchase uses a user’s itunes account and associated with it credit card.

Similarly in google play, in App lets the user pay for the service with their google account.

3rd party payments are basically all other payment providers like paypal, cashu, credit card providers to mention the most popular ones. Please check with us which payment providers are actually supported by the platform. The system supports also vouchers i.e. numerical codes which bear certain value.

Note: 3rd party payments are not allowed on the iOS applications, it is the Apple policy

3rd party payments are integrated through the VUP portal. When a user clicks on a desired amount button the dialer opens a dedicated mobile version of the payment page which presents the selection of available payment options.
