Visual presentation
The received voice messages are grouped in “new/unheard” and “old” with an information about the number of messages in each group.
Taping on one of the group opens a new view with messages arranged in a list of threads (grouped by callers), sorted by time when they were recorded. There are also additional information displayed which include:
- duration of the last message,
- callerID or contact name of the caller
Taping on the row initiates a call to voicemail with a request to play the last recorded message from the selected thread (caller).
Clicking on the extension icon (arrow on the right side of the row) takes us to the voicemail details view where we can see all messages left by the caller. You can choose a particular message to be played.
A message is marked as new until you open the list of the messages from the New/Unheard group. The “unheard” status indicates which of the messages have not yet been played. This information is stored on the server side.

Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)
The dialer uses subscription to the MWI mechanism in order to notify the user about new voicemails. When a caller leaves a voicemail the server immediately sends notification to the user. If the user is not registered the PUSH is sent. When the dialer registers again the list of newly left messages is downloaded and a badge with a number of new voicemails is shown on the menu icon and when in the extended menu, on the voicemail menu.
Voicemail to email
This feature delivers voice messages to your email box in form of an mp3 file. To enable it just enter the email address in the voicemail menu. The voicemail to file conversion is realized on the server side so even if your dialer is closed or offline you will still be able to receive emails with attachments.
Welcome greeting
Your personal greeting which is played when a caller reaches voicemail. To record hit the record button and when done simply disconnect.
