1.0.2 Creating VSM users
Access to the VSM is based on user accounts with privileges assigned by the admin user. When logging in to the VSM for the first time you will have to use the admin account which credentials have been provided in the sign off document.
The users’ accounts can be managed from the VSM Settings/Users menu. It is highly recommended to change the password of the initial admin account. Go to the account details view and click on the eye button on the password field and enter the new password.
For better security use OTP option can be enabled. It requires an email address in the PERSONAL DATA tab to receive an OTP code during the account authentication process when trying to log in.
The edit panel is divided on two tabs – General and Permissions. The first one contains the user profile data. The Permissions tab allows for setting rights to particular functionalities, some of them bundled in groups corresponding to VSM menus.
The users’ model allows to differentiate access privileges per account. You can create separate accounts for staff members responsible for certain parts of operations. Some of them can have access for example to client’s menus but be barred from access to the routing features.
