3.4.1 Managing accounts using VSM

The accounts can be managed from the VSM.


The RCS client accounts belong to the retail type which in the VSM are in the Clients\Retail clients menu. More information on the retail clients can be found in VSM4 documentation under the following link.

When the RCS generic mode is enabled the profile data in the Profile tab is retrieved from the api.clients.

From VSM you can also add new accounts but be careful as the VSM will create just a plain account without any predefined configuration. It is different when an account is created by the EMCD or EMCI API as they use a template configuration. If you have already an account created by the RCS API, for example from the softphone or VUP, you can create a template from it by clicking Save as template option.


Next, when adding a new account choose the option use template and chose the saved one. The new account will have all the settings, except for login and password, copied from the template.
